Our Christmas concert at St Paul's this year was very special. We had our own Elvis performing with the men. It was an enjoyable event and from the feedback we have been getting, it was a success. Christmas with Marsh Ladies Despite snow and ice the concert was a success.The Church was full of our supporters and it was enjoyed by all.

In 1948, a group of men belonging to Gledholt Methodist Church formed a double male
quartet under the leadership of Joe Ripley and with Marcus Draper as the pianist to
sing at local churches, old people's homes, hospitals, etc. Gradually the original
double quartet expanded to become, first the Gledholt Glee Singers, next
the Ripley Singers for two years, and finally the Gledholt Male Voice Choir.
Gledholt Male Voice Choir is one of the leading choirs in Huddersfield.
Huddersfield is the centre of a musical district, which is home to many choral societies, choirs of all kinds, orchestras and brass bands - indeed it is said there is a band and a choir at every lamp-post in this area. However, of these, just one male voice choir remains based within the old Huddersfield boundary: GLEDHOLT MALE VOICE CHOIR- which celebrated its Golden Jubilee in 1998
